Dog Smart Training and Behaviour

Dog Smart Training and Behaviour is run by a husband and wife team, Oliver and Becs. They run puppy, life skills, agility and gundog classes at Little Warden. We are excited by this partnership as both trainers are innovative, engaging and have a passion for understanding and training dogs.

Oliver

Oliver has grown up with numerous animals in his life from dogs, horses, cows, sheep, ferrets, ducks and a cat, however, Gundogs are Oliver’s passion. Since 2016 Oliver has helped raise nearly £2000 for the amazing Vizslamantes charity through a Calendar full of his favourite breed and he has set up a Facebook group and a competition.

Oliver is a graduate of the prestigious Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training & Behavior. He has gone on to complete The Animal Emotion course by Illis ABC and is currently studying their Advanced Animal Training Course.

Oliver believes our animal’s emotions play a huge role in their behaviour and how we approach training with them.  He is passionate about Canine Enrichment and especially enjoys working with more sensitive dogs that need patience and understanding.

Becs

I’ve known Becs for over 6yrs. Our paths crossed in 2013 at my local vets where she was working as a veterinary nurse and then later as an agility trainer to our dog Rocky.

Becs is at her best when she is teaching and engaging with the public. Her personality, experience and knowledge of canines is a great combination for training dogs and engaging with clients. Becs is a registered veterinary nurse, she has a diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and Training and has given presentations at a number of veterinary CPD events to veterinary nursing professionals. Currently Becs is the Practice Manager at Sandhole Veterinary Practice in Snodland, where she also runs the Puppy School course and Youth Club groups (adolescent dog classes). One of Becs’s greatest achievements so far is qualifying in the crufts Novice Agility Cup and coming runner up with her spaniel Willow.
